Shane McAnally To Participate In New NBC-TV Songwriting Reality Competition 'Songland'

SMACKSONGS Owner/singer-songwriter-producer SHANE MCANALLY will be part of the first episode of the newly-green lit upcoming songwriter competition, "Songland." NBC-TV has ordered an 11-episode first season of the series, for which MAROON 5's ADAM LEVINE and EURYTHMICS Co-Founder DAVE STEWART will serve as Executive Producers.

MCANALLY will be featured alongside ONEREPUBLIC's RYAN TEDDER, recording artist CHARLIE PUTH, and songwriter ESTER DEAN in the first episode of the series that will offer undiscovered songwriters a chance to create a hit song. Each episode will highlight five contestants, giving them each the chance to work with producers and an artist on new music; one winner per episode will have his or her song released as an artist's next single.
