UNIVERISTY OF PENNSYLVNIA Triple A WXPN/PHILADELPHIA will celebrate 25 years of FUNKY FRIDAY, its popular FRIDAY afternoon program of funk music, by presenting three free dance parties on NOVEMBER 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
FUNKY FRIDAY host DAVID DYE will leave the WXPN studios to visit ARDMORE, LANCASTER, and EASTON, PA, where he will spin the funky tunes that mark the end of the work week on WXPN.
Since mid-1995, DYE has hosted FUNKY FRIDAY, which was launched FRIDAY afternoon in AUGUST 1993 by then-WXPN DJ ELISE BROWN. As the show grew in popularity, it has expanded in length, and can now be heard every FRIDAY from 4-7p.
