The latest on the rumors of RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING taking a run at buying a full-market WASHINGTON signal is that BONNEVILLE News WTOP is reporting that the staff at its own sister station Classical WGMS have been briefed on the possibility that WGMS' 104.1 signal and 103.9 simulcast in FREDERICK could be sold to DAN SNYDER's company.
RED ZEBRA reportedly would flip the stations to its TRIPLE X ESPN RADIO format (with game broadcasts of SNYDERS' WASHINGTON REDSKINS) presently airing on two suburban Class A FMs and an AM in the market. The companies have yet to finalize a deal.
