CLEAR CHANNEL's move of AC WJER-F/DOVER-NEW PHILADELPHIA, OH to NORTH CANTON is coming, and after a long period of speculation OHIO MEDIA WATCH reports that the station's mostly-simulcasting of programming with soon-to-be-ex-sister WJER-A will end as of DECEMBER 26.
OMW, which has been reporting on the stations' fate for several months, notes that an item on the stations' website says that GARY PETRICOLA, the stations' former owner who is buying the AM side back from CLEAR CHANNEL, will continue programming the AM while CLEAR CHANNEL fires up the station's new CANTON signal with its own programming. OMW reports that WJER-A and WJER-F's separate morning shows with RANDY FOX and BILL MORGAN, respectively, will merge into a single show that will continue on the AM.
