WGBH/Boston President Becton To Exit

Noncommercial WGBH-F and PBS affiliates WGBH-TV & WGBX-TV/BOSTON Pres. HENRY BECTON JR. will exit the public broadcasting giant in OCTOBER 2007. The BOSTON GLOBE reports that EVP/COO JONATHAN C. ABBOTT will replace BECTON as Pres. BECTON has been with WGBH for over 20 years, starting as a producer in 1970 and ascending to Pres. in 1984.
