EMI NORTH AMERICA EVP PHIL QUARTARARO will be leaving the company at the end of DECEMBER to establish his own strategic marketing company.
"In these past five years that PHIL has been with EMI, he has been a great advocate for our business in NORTH AMERICA and provided me with tremendous support," said EMI MUSIC NA Chairman/CEO DAVID MUNNS. "I want to thank him for all his hard work and wish him every success for the future."
QUARTARARO said, "It has been a pleasure to work side by side with DAVID, ALAIN LEVY and ERIC NICOLI. I am very proud of what we’ve built together over the last few years and how well it serves our artists and consumers."
QUARTARARO was Pres. of WARNER BROS. RECORDS from 1997 to 2002 and before that was CEO of VIRGIN RECORDS AMERICA from 1992 to 1997, a company for which he was on the founding team in 1986.
