Dylan's Hanson Joke Cuts It Close

Local fans of the '90s pop phenom from TULSA known as HANSON were thrown for a loop last night while listening to RENDA Top 40 KHTT (106.9 K-HITS) night jock DYLAN. Sounding concerned, he cracked the mic at 6:10p, saying he had gotten an e-mail, and asked his audience to "keep the HANSON family in your thoughts and prayers," which resulted in jammed station phone lines.

Then, around 6:30p, saying he couldn't read the entire email without first getting an official OK from the family, he told listeners that the story involved a razor and one of the band members. By 6:50p, with listeners frantic to learn what was going on, DYLAN hit the air, reading the "official statement":

"This afternoon around 4p, ZACK HANSON reached puberty and cut his chin during his first attempt to shave" (insert rimshot here).

No word on whether or not the citizenry were planning to assemble a lynch mob.
