MIKE PARKER, who made the transition from radio news to TV and was best known as a longtime reporter and anchor at CBS O&O WBBM-TV/CHICAGO, died SUNDAY night (11/4) at 75.
PARKER, son of a radio newscaster, began his career in high school in the QUAD CITIES, ultimately becoming News Director at KFI-A/LOS ANGELES in 1969-72. He later joined CBS O&O KNXT (TV) (now KCBS-TV)/LOS ANGELES as an anchor/reporter, moving to WBBM-TV in 1980-85 and again in 1986 until his retirement in MAY 2016; in between stints at WBBM, PARKER worked at ABC O&O WABC-TV (ABC7)/NEW YORK.
