Format Flip Inspires Protest In Birmingham

A protest of CLEAR CHANNEL's flip of Gospel WENN-F (HALLELUJAH 105.5)/BIRMINGHAM to Rock as 105.5 THE VULCAN last week drew about 50 people to BIRMINGHAM's KELLY INGRAM PARK on SATURDAY (12/9). 

The BIRMINGHAM NEWS reports that speakers called the departed station a community staple and source of inspiration. The organizers told the paper that they were looking to get a meeting with CLEAR CHANNEL and may consider more protests in order to get Gospel back on the air.
