CUMULUS News-Talk WLS-A/CHICAGO and WESTWOOD ONE have confirmed that the station is adding BEN SHAPIRO's syndicated show to its new lineup for 2-5p (CT) weekdays beginning JANUARY 7th, as first reported by ROBERTFEDER.COM.
VP/Market Manager MARV NYREN said, “When the opportunity originally came up to be the first station in CHICAGO to carry THE BEN SHAPIRO SHOW, we jumped on it. With the incredible success we’ve experienced in a short period of time, moving BEN into a prime daypart is the perfect addition to our star-studded lineup.”
SHAPIRO said, “I couldn't be more excited to join the WLS WHITE SOX fan (sorry, CUBBIES!). The eyes of the nation are constantly on CHICAGO, and for good reason. I can't wait to bring conservatism to the WINDY CITY.”
FEDER has also reported that MANCOW MULLER may be returning to WLS as well, taking the morning slot currently hosted by BIG JOHN HOWELL and RAMBLIN' RAY STEVENS, with HOWELL moving to another role at the station. MULLER hosted middays at WLS in 2008-10 and more recently was the last morning host at then-sister Classic Rock WLUP before its sale in MARCH to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION.
