Hubbard Pays $88 Million For Alpha West Palm Cluster; Cincinnati-Area FM, Tacoma-Area AM Sold

The price HUBBARD RADIO LLC's WPB FCC LICENSE SUB, LLC is paying for ALPHA MEDIA LICENSEE LLC's WEST PALM BEACH cluster is $88 million cash, according to the contract filed with the FCC.  As announced YESTERDAY (NET NEWS 11/14), the deal, originally announced on SEPTEMBER 27th, was officially filed with the Commission YESTERDAY.  KALIL AND CO. is serving as broker for the deal, which includes Country WIRK/INDIANTOWN, AC WRMF/PALM BEACH, Sports WMEN-A (640 THE HURRICANE)/ROYAL PALM BEACH, News-Talk WFTL-A and Classic Hits WEAT (SUNNY 107.9)/WEST PALM BEACH, and Urban AC WMBX (X102.3)/JENSEN BEACH, plus FM translators W225DD/WEST PALM BEACH (which will rebroadcast WFTL) and W242CI/JUPITER (rebroadcasting WMBX-HD2 as Urban BEATZ 96.3).  ALPHA purchased the cluster as part of its purchase of DIGITY LLC in FEBRUARY 2016.

In other filings with the FCC, TSJ RADIO, LLC is selling Spanish AC WOXY (LA MEGA 97.7)/MASON-CINCINNATI, OH and Religion WVKO-A (THE PRAISE)/COLUMBUS, OH to LAZO MEDIA LLC for $2.5 million.

CLAY HUNTINGTON LEGACY L.L.C. is selling News-Talk KLAY-A and K297CA/LAKEWOOD-TACOMA, WA to SACRED HEART RADIO, INC. for $450,000 ($27,000 deposit, $123,000 cash at closing, $300,000 in a promissory note).

KKAA, LLC is transferring K260DG/REDFIELD, SD to I3G RADIO, LLC as part of the previously filed shuffle of the INGSTAD siblings' broadcast holdings into the new company; both parties are controlled by ROBERT J. INGSTAD, TODD INGSTAD, and TALLIE COLVILLE.  The translator rebroadcasts Classic Hist KQKD-A/REDFIELD.

EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. has filed the paperwork to donate more FM translators to RADIO BY GRACE, INC. as part of its exit from radio.  The translators in one filing were K239BR/POCATELLO, ID and K222BM/MOAPA, NV.  In another filing, K273BI/TRUCKEE, CA; W257DF/ATLANTA, GA; W222BF/COCHRAN, GA; K279CH/POCATELLO, ID; K283BC/HOBBS, NM; K260BT/RAPID CITY, SD; K217DJ/KEMAH, TX; and K242CI/CASPER, WY are being donated,

Requesting Silent STAs are RADIO RANCHO, LLC (K260CU/WEISER, ID) and CARTERET COUNTY SCHOOLS - WEST CARTERET HIGH SCHOOL (WZED-LP/NEWPORT, NC).

And EMPIRE BROADCASTING CORPORATION has closed on the sale of W291BY/ALBANY, NY to WMHT EDUCATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS for $275,000.  The primary station is noncommercial WMHT-F/SCHENECTADY.

FCC Notices of Unlicensed Operation have been sent to TAWANNA M. BROWN, BROOKLYN LLC (99.3 FM, WILKES-BARRE, PA); MENDY AMSEL (100.1 FM, PATERSON, NJ); and JOHN PALMERI (95.3 FM, MIDDLETOWN, NY).
