It didn't come soon enough to save his job, but charges against former CUMULUS News-Talk WGOW-F/CHATTANOOGA "MORNING PRESS" host JEFF STYLES in his road rage case have been dismissed.
STYLES faced charges of aggravated assault and vandalism for an incident in JUNE in which he allegedly got out of his car and approached another driver with a tomahawk, at which point the other driver shot STYLES. STYLES contended that the other car tried to run him off the road and denied advancing on the other driver or swinging the tool. STYLES was fired by WGOW in AUGUST, but District Attorney NEAL PINKSTON dropped the charges on THURSDAY (11/15) due to a lack of evidence.
STYLES has started his own podcast since being fired by WGOW. The station sent a statement to NBC affiliate WRCB-TV saying, "The company made it's decision to end its relationship with JEFF STYLES on AUGUST 27th and at that time said there would be no further comment. "
