Linn And Svendsen Promoted At Sony BMG

SONY BMG/NASHVILLE has announced the promotion of DEBBIE LINN to Sr. Dir./Strategic Marketing and CHRISTIAN SVENDSEN to Dir./Strategic Marketing. The announcement was made by VP/Marketing TOM BALDRICA today (12/11). Both LINN and SVENDSEN will report to BALDRICA, covering ARISTA, BNA, RCA and COLUMBIA labels. Said BALDRICA about the promotions, “I have worked closely with DEB and CHRISTIAN through the years. I am thrilled to be reunited with the both of them in these exciting new positions. They are both passionate professionals who welcome new and exciting challenges! Together, we are going to go where no label group has gone before!"

After several years at RCA/NEW YORK, LINN joined RCA/NASHVILLE in 1994. Most recently she was Sr. Dir./Artist Development. SVENDSEN joined the BNA promotion department in 1995 after graduating from BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY. Most recently he was Southwest Regional Promotion Manager. He will remain in DALLAS.

Concurrently, KIM MARKOVCHICK has exited as Sr. Director, Marketing & Artist Development. MARKOVCHICK joined SONY BMG almost three years ago after a 17-year run at MERCURY. Contact her at kmarkovchi@bellsouth.net.
