COAST RADIO GROUP, INC. is selling W278AT/WINONA, MS to NORTH SHORE BROADCASTING, INC.for $26,000. The buyer plans to move the translator, as W279DB, to HAMMOND, LA to rebroadcast Country WFPR-A/HAMMOND.
In other filings with the FCC, applying for STAs were KUTE, INC. (Silent KZNM/MILAN, NM, reduced power from temporary site to get station back on the air); ALEXANDRA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (News-Talk KUJ-A/WALLA WALLA, WA, reduced power due to transmitter problems); and MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO (News-Talk KRFI/REDWOOD FALLS, MN, reduced power due to faulty antenna).
And TOMLINSON-LEIS COMMUNICATIONS, LP has closed on the sale of AC KBYC/MARKHAM, TX to CENTRO CRISTIANO DE VIDA ETERNA for $110,000.
The Commission also denied an attempted appeal of the cancellation of the construction permit held by DAYTONA BEACH BROADCASTING ASSOCIATION for low power FM WDRD-LP/DAYTONA BEACH, ruling that the station's CP tolled before the permittee filed for a license to cover. The permittee filed what it called a "Petition for Clarification of the Commission’s Policy on Mailing its Decisions to Parties and Failure of the Commission to Comply with its own Notice Policy Does the Action Become Void Ab Initio (sic)” that argued insufficient notice.
