The "three KEVINS" are being reduced to one on PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES radio broadcasts next season with former GIANTS, PHILLIES, ANGELS, and NATIONALS utility infielder KEVIN FRANDSEN handling analyst duties alongside play-by-play voice SCOTT FRANZKE for all road games in the 2019 season. Last season, the road analyst job was rotated among FRANDSEN and two other former PHILLIES, KEVIN STOCKER, and KEVIN JORDAN. LARRY ANDERSEN continues as home game analyst; ANDERSEN's decision to cut back on his workload last season prompted the addition of the KEVINs.
"KEVIN (FRANDSEN) demonstrated during the 2018 season that he brings the perfect blend of enthusiasm and knowledge for our listeners," said PHILLIES EVP DAVID BUCK. "In addition, he has a great rapport with SCOTT FRANZKE. We look forward to his continued contributions in 2019 and beyond."
"My family and I are beyond excited that the PHILLIES chose me to be part of a team with SCOTT and LARRY," said FRANDSEN, who also hosts at CUMULUS Sports KNBR-A/SAN FRANCISCO. "I have such an admiration for them both, and to have the opportunity to continue to broadcast PHILLIES games is very special."
The PHILLIES are heard on a network headed by ENTERCOM Sports WIP/PHILADELPHIA.
