SUSAN HALL is selling Classic Hits WLOV-F/DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, FL to PAUL STONE's SOUTHERN BROADCASTING OF PENSACOLA, INC. for $450,000 plus $200,000 in construction costs, paid by debt assumption, satisfaction, and/or forgiveness. HALL won the bidding for the station in an FCC auction; STONE's BLACK CROW cluster has been operating the station under an LMA.
In other filings with the FCC, COLONIAL RADIO GROUP, INC. is selling Country WAGL (THE EAGLE)/ELDRED, PA and its booster WAGL-FM1/BRADFORD, PA to FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC for $306,000 ($153,000 cash and $153,000 as a charitable donation) and W285ES/SMETHPORT, PA. The primary station for W265ES is FAMILY LIFE NETWORK Religion WCOV/FRIENDSHIP, NY.
Requesting STAs were EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION (KLCX/PUEBLO, CO, reduced power due to new tube causing spurs and high VSWR) and SHILO COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (WRRL-A/RAINELLE, WV, reduced power from alternate site after losing licensed site).
Applying for silent STAs were NORTH ALABAMA PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTERS (WQJJ-LP/JASPER, AL, lost studio and transmitter sites) and COCHISE COMMUNITY RADIO CORPORATION (KRMK/LAS VEGAS, NM, technical difficulties).
Filing for an extension of its Silent STA was EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION (W272DD/FAYETTEVILLE, NC, more time for repairs).
FLORIDA TALK RADIO, LLC has closed on the sale of Oldies WSRQ-A-W295BH (HITLAND 106.9)/SARASOTA, FL and W240DP/VENICE, FL to LAKE ERIE COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE, INC. for $520,000. The buyer owns noncommercial Classic Hits WMCE-F/ERIE, PA.
And CHARLES C. EARLS' KOMC-KRZK, LLC has closed on the sale of Classic Country KRZK and Classic Hits KCAX-K251BZ/BRANSON, MO and AC KOMC-F (MY 100.1)/KIMBERLING CITY, MO and EARLS' KHOZ, LLC has closed on the sale of Adult Standards KHOZ-A, Country KHBZ (102.9 THE Z), and K235CE/HARRISON, AR to PAUL COATES' OZARK MOUNTAIN MEDIA GROUP, LLC for $6.5 million. The buyer has been programming the stations under an LMA since OCTOBER 2017.
