Dolly Parton's Brother, Floyd, Dies At 61

ALL ACCESS extends condolences to DOLLY PARTON, whose younger brother, FLOYD PARTON, passed away on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 6th. He was 61.

FLOYD was also a songwriter and composer; his song, "Rockin' Years," was recorded by DOLLY and RICKY VAN SHELTON. FLOYD's song, "Nickels And Dimes," was also recorded by DOLLY and later by GEORGE BURNS.

According to the obituary on ATCHLEY FUNERAL HOME's website, the PARTON family asks that donations be made to MY PEOPLE SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER (1220 W. Main Street, SEVIERVILLE, TN, 37862) in lieu of flowers.
