MARIAH CAREY's 1994 CHRISTMAS classic, "All I Want For CHRISTMAS Is You" is the most viewed holiday song in the U.S. and globally throughout DECEMBER, according to YOUTUBE. The song has seen a steady increase in views in the past couple of months with the song spiking on NOVEMBER 1st, NOVEMBER 24th (the day after THANKSGIVING) and DECEMBER 1st. The daily views this year have already surpassed 4.5 million. Last year, daily global views reached 10.7 million on CHRISTMAS EVE.
The holiday classic reached the YOUTUBE TOP SONGS chart this week in 26 countries, including the U.K. (#2), GERMANY (#5), ITALY (#5), ICELAND (#9), AUSTRALIA (#15), JAPAN (#18) and the U.S. (#19). It is currently #13 on the GLOBAL TOP SONGS CHART.
The #2 slot this year is owned by IDINA MENZEL’s “Let It Go” from 2013’s "Frozen" soundtrack. The song has established itself as a holiday favorite, with daily views reaching 4.7 million on CHRISTMAS EVE 2017 -- its peak for the entire year.
