Westwood One Extends 'The Jim Bohannon Show' For Multi-Year Renewal

WESTWOOD ONE has announced a multi-year extension of its partnership with "The JIM BOHANNON Show," which has aired on the audio network for 26 years.

The program, which airs on more than 250 affiliated stations, is a mix of topical issues, newsmakers, and pop culture.  In addition to his weekday broadcast, BOHANNON will continue his signature daily feature, “The Offbeat,” a humorous look at something just a bit off the beaten track, and anchor events for WESTWOOD ONE NEWS.

BOHANNON has been a recipient of numerous industry awards and honors, including the RTDNA FIRST AMENDMENT AWARD. He has been a member of TALKERS magazine's HEAVY HUNDRED every year since its inception in 1995 and received the TALKERS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD in 2013. He was inducted into the NATIONAL RADIO HALL OF FAME in 2003. This past summer, he won his second prestigious GOLD MEDAL AWARD from the NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL RADIO FESTIVAL for the WESTWOOD ONE retrospective "Pain & Pride: Remembering VIETNAM – 50 Years Later."
