KUIC/Vacaville, CA Raises $22k+ For The Leaven

KUIC/Vacaville, CA

ALPHA MEDIA FAR EAST BAY, CA AC KUIC/VACAVILLE, CA, hosted its first annual RADIOTHON for THE LEAVEN, a local organization that brings after-school mentoring and tutoring programs to low-income neighborhoods, where dropout rates and gangs threaten the community. Their centers prove to revitalize and strengthen neighborhoods, improving lives and opportunity. 

The RADIOTHON took over the airwaves on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14th from 5a-6p (PT) with many local officials, business owners and first responders joining the station's DJs in-studio and issuing challenges throughout the day to support this worthy cause. A total of $22,031 was raised, supporting 881 children who participate in THE LEAVEN’s many programs and centers.
