The GEORGIA ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS has selected the 2019 class of its Hall of Fame, which honors those individuals who have had a lasting impact on Georgia’s broadcasting industry. Being inducted are ZACK FOWLER of VIDALIA COMMUNICATIONS, DODIE CANTRELL of UGA GRADY COLLEGE, former PUBLIC BROADCASTING ATLANTA chief-turned-broadcast consultant JOHN WEATHERFORD and COX MEDIA GROUP Community Affairs Director CONDACE PRESSLEY.
The induction of the 2019 class will take place on JANUARY 24th in ATHENS, during the Association’s annual WINTER INSTITUTE.
“We had a record number of submissions this year with voting being extremely close,” GAB Pres. BOB HOUGHTON said. “I want to thank our committee for their diligence in selecting yet another outstanding class of broadcasters. Once again our HOF class has representation from radio and television, small markets and large, management and on–air talent and with diversity that is truly representative of GEORGIA’s broadcasting industry."
