* The new year starts out with the airplay week of December 30-January 5, 2018
* PANIC! AT THE DISCO hold the top spot with "High Hopes" for a fifth straight week Top 40
* With a lot of stations doing year-end countdowns, keep in mind spin gains were not as large as a normal week
* THE CHAINSMOKERS featuring KELSEA BALLERINI hit the top 15 with "This Feeling," up 16*-15*
* ZARA LARSSON goes top 20 with "Ruin My Life," up 21*-20*
* ELLA MAI has the lone debut at 40* with "Trip"Rhythmic: Kodak Black On Top; Post/Swae Top 5; Pardison Fontaine/Cardi B Top 15; Post Malone, Ariana Debut
* KODAK BLACK retains the top spot at Rhythmic with "Zeze," featuring TRAVIS SCOTT & OFFSET
* POST MALONE & SWAE LEE are top 5 with "Sunflower," up 6*-4*
* PARDISON FONTAINE teams with CARDI B to enter the top 15 with "Backin It Up," rising 16*-15*
* POST MALONE lands the top debut with "Wow" at 38*
* ARIANA GRANDE's multiformat hit "Breathin" enters at 39*Urban: Lil Baby & Gunna Hold #1; Handful Of Songs Show Triple Digit Gains In Holiday Weel
* The holiday week had a lot of mix show and year end countdowns
* The Urban chart was very limited in bullets
* LIL BABY & GUNNA remained at #1 with "Drip Too Hard" and are +139 spins
* There were a group of songs that should be noted that scored triple digit spin growth
* PARDISON FONTAINE & CARDI B go 17*-16* with "Backin It Up," up 148 spins
* DRAKE moves 31*-26* with "Mob Ties," up 111 spins
* Growing 122 spins and climbing 33*-28* is TRAVIS SCOTT with "Yosemite"
* NICOLE BUS moves 38*-32* with "You" at +116 spins
* QUAVO f/21 SAVAGE and NICKI MINAJ both land debutsHot AC: Panic! Spend 6th Week At #1; Marshmello/Bastille Runner Up; Benny Blanco/Halsey/Khalid Top 20
* The opposite effect of the other charts occurs at Hot AC
* A number of stations who went to Christmas music were re-added to the panel this week
* The chart positions were relatively stable as well
* PANIC! AT THE DISCO were #1 for a 6th week with "High Hopes"
* MARSHMELLO & BASTILLE remain the runner up with "Happier" and those two songs are over 6000 spins
* HALSEY has entered the top 5 as "Without Me" is up 576 spins
* With 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER (a former #1 still at #4), CAPITOL has three of the top five songs at the format
* BENNY BLANCO, KHALID, and HALSEY go top 20 with "Eastside," up 21*-20*Active Rock: Godsmack Hold Top Spot; Papa Roach Top 5; Fever 333 Top 20; Dose, Like A Storm Debut
* GODSMACK hold the top spot with "When Legends Rise"
* THE GLORIOUS SONS are in the runner up position with "S.O.S." giving BMG the top 2 spots to start the year
* PAPA ROACH enter the top 5 with "Who Do You Trust?," up 6*-5*
* FEVER 333 hit the top 20 with "Made An America," rising 21*-19* and +58 spins
* DOSE and LIKE A STORM both post debutsAlternative: Panic! At The Disco Spend 9th Week At #1; LovelyTheBand Have Two In Top 10
* PANIC! AT THE DISCO hold at #1 with "High Hopes" for a 9th week
* The Alternative chart did not have a lot of actual chart movement
* However, during the holiday it should be noted that LOVELYTHEBAND now have two top 10's with "Broken" and "these are my friends"
* JADE BIRD and the WOMBATS debutTriple A: Maggie Rogers #1 For 3rd Week; Nathaniel Rateliff Runner Up; Kahan Top 10
* MAGGIE ROGERS spends a third week at #1 with "Light On"
* NATHANIEL RATELIFF & THE NIGHT SWEATS are in the runner up spot with "Hey Mama," up 3*-2*
* NOAH KAHAN is top 10 with "False Confidence" up 12*-10* and +40 spins
* ELLE KING is top 20 with "Baby Outlaw"
