The Fox/Traverse City's Elliott Collects Toys, Helps Charity

NORTHERN BROADCASTING Classic Hits simulcast WFCX-WFDX (THE FOX)/TRAVERSE CITY-PETOSKEY morning man MARK ELLIOTT's "DAY OF 1000 TOYS II" event last FRIDAY collected new unwrapped toys for NORTHWEST MICHIGAN's TOYS FOR TOTS campaign during a 12 hour broadcast that culminated with the donation of 85 brand-new bikes from a group of former Marines.

But that wasn't all: when ELLIOTT hears that the local ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY THRIFT STORE had been burglarized with cash drawer stolen and front door destroyed, he rallied listeners and the manager of the local MAIJER store to replace the cash and fix the door.
