KTCX (Magic 102.5)/Beaumont, TX PD Adrian Scott Has Died

ALL ACCESS extends condolences to family and friends of ADRIAN SCOTT who passed away SATURDAY (1/12).   She was the PD/PM drive personality for CUMULUS MEDIA Urban KTCX (MAGIC 102.5)/BEAUMONT, TX.

SCOTT’s death occurred during a week-long stay at the hospital.  She is survived by her husband and 6-year old son. There are no details yet on the cause of death.

Co-worker DON BRAKE posted to FACEBOOK, "Today has been a difficult day.  My radio family in BEAUMONT suffered an unthinkable loss with the unexpected passing of ADRIAN SCOTT.  I have spent the day trying to put my thoughts and feelings into words.  Although I have not known ADRIAN long, she made an amazing impression on me the moment I met her the first time I visited BEAUMONT back in JANUARY of 2017.  She was very welcoming and greeted AMERICA and NAOMI as if we had all been friends for years.

Working with her since JULY, I had come to be impressed by and respect her talents as a programmer and air talent.  Beyond that, I found her to be one of the nicest and most genuine individuals I have ever met.  She was often the first person I would speak to each day at the station as she would greet me good morning and we would have a quick chat.  She was such a positive person and had an infectious laugh. I still can’t believe she’s really gone.  I will miss her. I feel for and offer prayers for her family and for my radio family who I know are all hurting over this.   ADRIAN was a beloved voice in SOUTHEAST TEXAS and a true friend.  Godspeed and rest in peace."

Funeral arrangements are forthcoming.
