Detroit Radio Sportscaster Matt Shepard Named Tigers TV Play-By-Play Voice

iHEARTMEDIA Sports WDFN-A (1130 THE FAN)/DETROIT and MICHIGAN MEDIA NETWORK regionally-syndicated morning "SHEP, SHOWER 'N' SHAVE" host MATT SHEPARD has been named the new television play-by-play voice of the DETROIT TIGERS, reports the DETROIT FREE PRESS. SHEPARD has served as the radio voice of UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN basketball on ENTERCOM News WWJ-A/DETROIT and EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY football and has been doing television work on TIGERS TV outlet FOX SPORTS DETROIT since 1999.
SHEPARD will be joined by former pitcher JACK MORRIS, who has been working on MINNESOTA TWINS TV broadcasts and has also called TIGERS games, and incumbent analyst KIRK GIBSON on the telecasts. SHEPARD and MORRIS are replacing MARIO IMPEMBA and ROD ALLEN, both fired after reports of a physical altercation between them became public in SEPTEMBER.
