ALL ACCESS is very proud of our RADIO RALLY POINT feature and the great feedback we're getting from you. Curated by DMR/INTERACTIVE Pres. ANDREW CURRAN, this bi-weekly look at what radio can do to make itself stronger is already paying dividends to the industry with solid ideas.
There is no better way to relate to the community you serve than to recognize someone universally respected within that community. It's what WEBN/CINCINNATI PD JUSTIN “DUBS” JOHNSON and his staff did by honoring police officer DALE WOODS, who died from injuries he suffered while on duty on JANUARY 7th.
At the request of WOODS' family, WEBN crafted a specially curated playlist of DALE's favorite artists and songs as the soundtrack for the funeral procession on MONDAY, JANUARY 14th.
JOHNSON remarked, "If I can make a few of these people smile on what is going to be one of the toughest days they ever have to deal with, how great would that be?
"WEBN is more than something that plays music on their local frequency and this situation really shines a light on how much that connection means."
Feedback about the tribute on social media: "What an amazing tribute to a real American Hero from a real American Rock Station."
