The government shutdown isn't stopping the FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION from holding what it is billing as the JANUARY "Open Meeting," but it's not going to be like the usual meetings and it won't have an agenda.
The "meeting" will consist of a conference call on JANUARY 30th at 11a (ET), and the contents will not follow the previously proposed agenda but instead will consist of announcements. If the shutdown ends before JANUARY 29th and the FCC is back to normal operations by then, the meeting will be held live at Commission headquarters but, again, will only consist of announcements.
The Commission has been closed except for a trickle of applications making their way through the bureaus, with today's only action being CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. requesting an extension of its Silent STA for K220IR/LEWISTON, CA, destroyed in the Carr Fire.
