WQDR/Raleigh Morning Duo Join Brett Eldredge's #FlipPhoneChallenge

CURTIS MEDIA Country WQDR/RALEIGH morning duo MIKE WHELESS and JANIE CAROTHERS are following in the footsteps of ATLANTIC/WMN's BRETT ELDREDGE by attempting to take a break from their smartphones with the #FlipPhoneChallenge. ELDREDGE kicked off 2019 with an INSTAGRAM post encouraging fans to participate in the challenge by putting aside their smartphones and, instead, using an old flip phone, allowing them to be more in the moment.

After initially agreeing to attempt two weeks without smartphones, CAROTHERS has already given in after a week, while WHELESS remains in the competition. The station has extended the challenge to two of its listeners, who agreed to keep their smartphones locked in the 'QDR studios in hopes of winning LUKE COMBS concert tickets.
