More than 900 people from the Country radio, record, and media industries are in MEMPHIS this week for the COUNTRY CARES FOR ST. JUDE KIDS RADIO SEMINAR, which kicked off yesterday (1/24) and runs through SUNDAY, JANUARY 27th. During a press conference today (1/25), ALABAMA frontman RANDY OWEN, who founded the COUNTRY CARES program 30 years ago, was surprised with news that a patient room at ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL was being named for him and his family. Watch his remarks that followed the announcement on our FACEBOOK page here. In the three decades since COUNTRY CARES was founded, Country radio stations have raised more than $800 million for the hospital. Two hundred stations currently run annual radiothons.
More than 20 Country artists spoke with ALL ACCESS and other media outlets today. We’ll have details of those interviews in the ALL ACCESS COUNTRY DAILY beginning on MONDAY, JANUARY 28th. Artists attending the seminar include: CARLTON ANDERSON, LOGAN ASHLEY, AUSTIN BURKE, DILLON CARMICHAEL, JESSIE G, BRANTLEY GILBERT, CAYLEE HAMMACK, HUNTER HAYES, HALEY & MICHAELS, KING CALAWAY, BRANDON LAY, LOCASH, ASHLEY MCBRYDE, STEPHANIE QUAYLE, BRANDON RATCLIFF, JORDAN RAGER, RUNAWAY JUNE, SEAFORTH, MATT STELL, RACHEL WAMMACK, and WATERLOO REVIVAL.
