WCYQ/Knoxville’s Kevin King Returns To Pensacola

SUMMITMEDIA Country WCYQ (Q100.3)/KNOXVILLE is seeking a new PD to replace KEVIN KING, who is returning to ADX COMMUNICATIONS as OM for the PENSACOLA, FL cluster effective the first week of MARCH. He will oversee Country WYCT (CAT COUNTRY 98.7) and its three News, Talk, and Sports sister stations. He will also handle middays at WYCT.

Fifteen years ago, KING helped launch CAT COUNTRY 98.7, and PD BRENT LANE says he “understands the special culture of our radio family. We are excited to get him back in the building."

At WCYQ, OM RICH BAILEY is leading the search for KING's replacement and wants resumes and airchecks here. The job description says, "Can you go up against a Country giant and win? Do you know Country music? KNOXVILLE? Do you have a track record of winning in programming? If you answered yes, we want to talk with you. Creative, leadership skills, strategic thinker, strong on-air work, problem solver, ability to connect to a young adult audience and be local centric. Understand and be at ease with social media aspects of the job and can effectively promote on social media platforms. The ability to coach and motivate talent. Development and execution of programming and promotional platforms. Fluent in MUSIC MASTER music software, digital editing, and other office applications."
