Dave Durian, Former Longtime WBAL/Baltimore Anchor/Host, Dies At 72

DAVE DURIAN, the newsman who became a familiar face and voice on radio and TV in BALTIMORE for many years, died MONDAY (1/28) after a stroke at 72.
DURIAN spent several years anchoring and hosting "EVENING MAGAZINE" at CBS affiliate KDKA-TV/PITTSBURGH before joining HEARST's WBAL-TV/BALTIMORE as news anchor in 1982-87. After a stint at MARYLAND PUBLIC TELEVISION, DURIAN returned to WBAL, this time as a radio host at WBAL-A, in 1988. He took over as morning host on the radio side in 1990 and added anchoring duties on the TV side, and retired from the morning radio show in 2012.
Visitation will be THURSDAY (1/31) 2-4p and 6-8p (ET) at RUCK TOWSON FUNERAL HOME, 1050 York Road, TOWSON, MD 21204, where a funeral will be held FRIDAY at 1p.
