Sports talk consultancy BARRETT SPORTS MEDIA's release of the results of its fourth annual survey ranking the best in the Sports radio format has named BEASLEY Sports WBZ-F (98.5 THE SPORTS HUB)/BOSTON as the major market Sports Station of the Year for 2018.  THE HUB regained the top slot after falling to second place behind ENTERCOM Sports WFAN-A-F/NEW YORK last year; THE HUB has taken top honors in the survey for three of the past four years.  Second place went to CUMULUS Sports KTCK-A-F (THE TICKET)/DALLAS, followed by CUMULUS Sports KNBR-A/SAN FRANCISCO, WFAN, and ENTERCOM Sports WEEI-F/BOSTON.

For mid-market stations, HUBBARD Sports WXOS (101 ESPN)/ST. LOUIS led the pack for the second consecutive year, followed by ENTERCOM Sports KDKA-F (93.7 THE FAN)/PITTSBURGH, ENTERCOM Sports WKRK (92.3 THE FAN)/CLEVELAND, CUMULUS Sports WGFX (104.5 THE ZONE)/NASHVILLE, and ENTERCOM Sports WJZ-F (105.7 THE FAN)/BALTIMORE.

And BSM also announced the top 5 original sports podcasts, a new category, with BARSTOOL SPORTS' "PARDON MY TAKE," THE RINGER's "THE BILL SIMMONS PODCAST," ESPN AUDIO's "30 FOR 30 PODCASTS," CADENCE13's "THE WOJ POD," and "THE PAT MCAFEE SHOW" making the cut.
