Elista Trying To Get To The Studio

When you're ENTERCOM Hot AC WBZZ (100.7 STAR)/PITTSBURGH APD/MD/midday jock extraordinaire ELISTA, and you're stuck on the side of the highway in typical STEEL CITY WINTER weather, what do you do when you need to get to the studio to do your airshift?  Of course -- you take to the airwaves and plead your case and wait to be rescued.

That's the scenario from last FRIDAY (2/1), when her car went off the road and needed a tow.  Morning ace BUBBA stayed on the air, with ELISTA calling in with updates until she escaped her plight.  The weather caused her to miss EMG artist JESS GLYNNE, who was in town for a breakfast visit with some station contest winners, and a chunk of her airshift.  The payoff came when a tow truck driving listener swooped in to save the day.

Sometimes great radio happens when you least expect it.  Kudos to ELISTA and BUBBA for making their listeners feel like they were a part of the ordeal.
