Dick Gleason, Maine Radio Station Owner, Dead At 71

DICK GLEASON, whose GLEASON MEDIA SERVICES owns radio stations in MAINE, died SATURDAY (2/9) at 71, according to an obituary in the PORTLAND PRESS HERALD.
GLEASON worked in radio in BANGOR before going to work for H&R BLOCK in VERMONT in 1969 but returned to radio at WTOS/SKOWHEGAN, ME; he bought WOXO/NORWAY, ME in 1975, then added stations, with the group currently composed of Country WOXO-A0W245CQ (THE OX)/SOUTH PARIS, ME; Country WOXO-F (THE OX)/MEXICO, ME; Hot AC WEZR-A-WEZR-F-W288CW (MAINE'S BIG Z)/LEWISTON; and Sports WTME-A (SPORTS RADIO 780)/RUMFORD-PORTLAND.
