New music by the ROLLING STONES, COLDPLAY and the GORILLAZ helped the EMI GROUP post a 4.5 percent increase in sales for the first half of 2005. The news is also good for EMI’s Music Publishing division, which is expected to show a 5.5 percent growth in revenue, according to REUTERS. Thanks to cost cutting and increased album sales, EMI expects to report full year results that are in line with analyst expectations.
