Georgia's Radio Statesboro Cluster LMA'd To New Operators In Advance of Sale

ALL ACCESS has confirmed with current RADIO STATESBORO, INC. owner NEAL ARDMAN a report in the STATESBORO HERALD that the company is LMAing Classic Rock WWNS-A-W299CT (ROCK 107.7) and Sports WPTB-A-W259CH (CBS SPORTS RADIO 99.7 FM/AM 850)/STATESBORO, GA, News-Talk WMCD (FOX NEWS 106.5)/ROCKY FORD, GA, and Country WPMX/MILLEN, GA to BRYAN and LEE STEELE, with the STEELES taking over operations FEBRUARY 1st and a sale to be filed with the FCC.
The deal will see a format shuffle as of next MONDAY (2/18), with WWNS-W299CT flipping to News-Talk as FOX NEWS 107.7, WPTB-W259CH launching a Top 40 format, WPMX flipping to AC as 94.9 THE EAGLE, and WMCD going Country as 106.5 THE BORO.
ARDMAN previously sold Religion WQTS (THE LIFE FM 102.9, formerly AC WPMX (EAGLE 102.9))/STATESBORO, GA to THE POWER FOUNDATION for $150,000 late last year and Contemporary Christian WLGK (K-LOVE, formerly News-Talk WMCD and, briefly, WZBX (FOX NEWS 107.3))/CLAXTON, GA to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $150,000 earlier in 2018.
