Jacobs Media Asks, 'When Did You Fall In Love With Radio?'

Happy Valentine's Day!

In honor of VALENTINE’S DAY, JACOBS MEDIA is asking radio people this timely question: “When did you first fall in love with radio?”

First posted on his FACEBOOK page and via email, JACOBS MEDIA Pres. FRED JACOBS reports response was huge and instantaneous. JACOBLOG is featuring stories and pictures from industry leaders like BOB PITTMAN, MIKE MCVAY, CAROLINE BEASLEY and JERRY LEE, to people who have left the industry but still have romantic memories of the medium.

JACOBS remarked, “We’ve heard from SO many people. It’s really cool. Some are the movers and shakers in radio. Others are among the jilted, and some are now ‘separated’ or ‘divorced’ from the business. But the common thread is how they were all smitten by radio and how enthusiastic they are to tell their stories.”

And then there are the photos. Most submissions come complete with an old photo from everyone’s “radio past.”

PAUL JACOBS notes, “It’s like Throwback Thursday on the JacoBLOG. These are radio’s love stories.”
