KSQD/Santa Cruz Makes Its Debut

NATURAL BRIDGES MEDIA has signed on noncommercial Variety KSQD/SANTA CRUZ, CA, launching the station on FRIDAY (2/15) at 2:30p (PT). 

The community station, also known as "K-SQUID," with a checkerboard schedule of eclectic local music and talk programming plus national shows including "DEMOCRACY NOW" and THOM HARTMANN's talk program, is aimed at filling the void left when a similar station, noncommercial KUSP, was sold out of bankruptcy to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION and became Contemporary Christian KLVM (K-LOVE) in 2016; some of KSQD's staff worked at KUSP.
