Is CBS RADIO ready to sell a "large amount of inventory" to GOOGLE? Rumors running rampant around the companies are being noted in a NEW YORK TIMES article in MONDAY's editions, with the paper saying that negotiations are ongoing that would have CBS RADIO sell the inventory to GOOGLE, bringing in hundreds of millions of guaranteed ad dollars for CBS.
The paper speculates that the move might make CBS CORP. less likely to participate in a consortium with NBC UNIVERSAL, NEWS CORP., and CBS CORP.'s sibling VIACOM that plans to launch a video clip web site in competition with YOUTUBE. And ALL ACCESS hears that the move could be near the billion dollar range and could result in CBS sales forces seeing major cuts.
