Fast Company Releases 2019 Lists Of World's Most Innovative Companies

FAST COMPANY's annual list of the world's 50 most innovative companies again includes some businesses with radio, podcasting, and/or music ties for 2019.
On the list are THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY, parent of ESPN and RADIO DISNEY/RADIO DISNEY COUNTRY, at #4; APPLE, last year's #1, at #17 this year; and UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP at #21. Chinese tech firm MEITUAN DIANPING was the top-ranked firm this year.
The publication also honored the top innovative companies by sector, and in the advertising category, podcast network GIMLET MEDIA made the list at 4th. The media list, topped by DISNEY, also includes THE NEW YORK TIMES (4th), PLAYERS' TRIBUNE (5th), WONDERY (6th), CADENCE13 (8th), and BARSTOOL SPORTS (10th). The music top 10, led by UNIVERSAL, also includes SOFAR SOUNDS, LIVE NATION ENTERTAINMENT, KOBALT MUSIC, SONOS, SOUNDTRACK YOUR BRAND, CREATE MUSIC GROUP, REVERB.COM, LANDR AUDIO, and NIELSEN. And SPOTIFY is 4th on the list for branding.
