Podtrac Releases January Ranker Of Top 10 Podcast Publishers, Top 20 Podcasts

PODTRAC has released its JANUARY 2018 ranking of the Top 10 podcast publishers and Top 20 podcasts.

The publisher list again includes the same ten players as in recent months, with THE NEW YORK TIMES moving up from 6th to 4th and BARSTOOL SPORTS jumping from 9th to 7th; however, the biggest monthly increases were for THE DAILY WIRE (19%) and iHEARTRADIO (15%). Total global downloads increased 15% from DECEMBER and were up 57% on a year-to-year basis. Meanwhile, average U.S. unique monthly audience was flat from DECEMBER and up 29% from last JANUARY.

On the podcast list, the big movers were THE BEN SHAPIRO SHOW and PARDON MY TAKE, with WAIT WAIT... DON'T TELL ME falling from 8th to 13th and DR. DEATH and 99% INVISIBLE falling out of the top 20, replaced by ATLANTA MONSTER and DAN CARLIN'S HARDCORE HISTORY.

The publisher rankings, which, once again, only include shows opting in for PODTRAC's Podcast Measurement System for the full month (and missing some of the largest shows and publishers) and ranked by unique U.S. monthly audience:
