The contract of sale has been filed, revealing that the price by which NEAL ARDMAN is selling RADIO STATESBORO, INC., owner of News-Talk WWNS-A-W299CT (FOX NEWS 107.7) and Top 40 WPTB-A-W259CH/STATESBORO, GA, Country WMCD (106.5 THE BORO)/ROCKY FORD, GA, and AC WPMX (94.9 THE EAGLE)/MILLEN, GA to BRYAN STEELE is $500 plus an LMA before closing. The price was not disclosed when the LMA took effect (NET NEWS 2/12).
Also in the FCC database TUESDAY morning, applying for STAs were MEDIA POWER GROUP, INC. (WDEP-A/PONCE, PR, operating at construction permit site with reduced power daytime while waiting for power company to increase power available at site) and the estate of GEORGE V. DOMERESE (TIMOTHY DOMERESE, Administrator) (KMTL-A/SHERWOOD, AR, reduced power to get silent station back on the air while transmitter is returned to allow full power).
And GOOD NEWS RADIO has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for K204GG/BANNING, CA while it completes construction of authorized modifications.
The Commission also entered a consent decree fining WINSTON TULLOCH $1,500 to settle allegations that he operated a pirate radio station on 90.9 FM in PATERSON, NJ. The fine was reduced due to inability to pay. TULLOCH will face an additional $23,500 fine if caught operating an unlicensed station again or if he is found to have misled the Commission about his finances.
And CHARLES MCCORKLE and GB HOLDINGS OF GEORGIA, INC. have been issued a Notice of Unlicensed Operation for operating on 88.9 FM in DECATUR, GA ("The Community’s Voice”).
