"Bada-Bing" Christmas Record A Jersey Hit Thanks To Big Jay

A novelty CHRISTMAS record playing off NEW JERSEY's reputation for, er, family has become a local hit thanks to GREATER MEDIA Oldies WJRZ/MONMOUTH-OCEAN morning man BIG JAY SORENSEN. The NEWARK STAR-LEDGER's CLAUDIA PERRY reports that SORENSEN gave BOB HARRIS and LUCY CLARK's "JERSEY 'BADA-BING' CHRISTMAS" CD some airplay on his morning show with ANITA BONITA and SUNDAY morning talk show, and the song took off.

"It is hysterical," SORENSEN told the paper. "We've gotten such a response to this thing on our station. I was pleased they apparently chose me to break it to the world... It was just phenomenal. I think part of it is that there are a lot of Italian-Americans in MONMOUTH and OCEAN COUNTIES."

CLARK and HARRIS will be performing live DECEMBER 20 at the OCEAN COUNTY LIBRARY's MANCINI HALL.
