ROGERS Sports CJCL-A (SPORTSNET 590 THE FAN)/TORONTO is adding ASHLEY DOCKING as co-host of the station's "SPORTSNET'S STARTING LINEUP" alongside GREG BRADY and HUGH BURRILL, starting TOMORROW (2/28). DOCKING's background includes reporting stints with ROGERS CITYTV affiliate CKEM-TV/EDMONTON's "BREAKFAST TELEVISION," the EDMONTON OILERS, NBA TV CANADA, CHANNEL ZERO independent CHCH-TV/HAMILTON, the NATIONAL LACROSSE LEAGUE, FNTSY SPORTS TODAY, and FIGHT NETWORK. She replaces ELLIOTT PRICE, who recently exited the station.
“ASHLEY has been a fantastic contributor to the station’s programming for quite a while and I am thrilled that she is now stepping into this role full time,” said ROGERS RADIO National Format Director, Sports DAVE CADEAU. “ASHLEY is energetic, passionate, and most importantly, extremely knowledgeable about a cross-section of professional sports. Her quick wit and sensibility are the perfect complement to GREG and HUGH. Together, they will give our audiences more of what they’re looking for during their morning commute -- an entertaining and engaging show about the sports and teams TORONTO fans are craving.”
“I couldn’t be happier to be joining SPORTSNET’S STARTING LINEUP,” said DOCKING. “I’m particularly proud to be joining the country’s top sports talk radio station and I look forward to bringing a unique perspective to our audience. GREG and HUGH are both tremendous broadcasters and we’re all excited to get started and deliver a fun and fresh show to TORONTO’s morning listeners.”
