CUMULUS News-Talk WABC-A/NEW YORK and syndicated host JOHN BATCHELOR's recovery from cancer is the subject of a profile at PRINCETON ALUMNI WEEKLY.
BATCHELOR was diagnosed with oropharyngeal cancer in OCTOBER 2018 after the discovery of a tumor at the base of his tongue. The surgery on NOVEMBER 2nd was followed by what BATCHELOR decided would be just two weeks to learn how to speak again in time to interview WINSTON CHURCHILL biographer ANDREW ROBERTS, which he did on NOVEMBER 19th. He then remained on the air through six weeks of radiation.
BATCHELOR told the WEEKLY that he will be adding a fantasy baseball segment to his show and podcast, appealing to younger listeners, because "I don't know if the cancer changed me about fantasy baseball, but it did tell me to go ahead and do what you want."
