ENTERCOM News-Talk KDKA-A/PITTSBURGH's seventh annual “LARRY RICHERT HONORS OUR HOMETOWN HEROES” event is scheduled for MARCH 26th at the RIVERS CASINO, with this year's theme being “Love is Stronger than Hate.” SMOKEY ROBINSON will receive the Lifetime Achievement Honor and TREE OF LIFE SYNAGOGUE Rabbi Hazzan JEFFREY MYERS will serve as Keynote Speaker.
“Our annual ‘Hometown Heroes’ event is an opportunity for us to recognize the powerful contributions by individuals in our local community. This year, we are privileged to be able to spotlight SMOKEY ROBINSON for the tremendous work he is doing both in PITTSBURGH and beyond,” said SVP/Market Manager MICHAEL SPACCIAPOLLI. “We are also humbled to have Rabbi MYERS speak to our heroes and guests this year following such an unfathomable tragedy.”
Receiving $1,000 donations for the charity of their choice will be THE DOORWAY founder JOYCE ERDNER, THE ALEXIS JOY D'ACHILLE CENTER FOR PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH at WEST PENN HOSPITAL founder STEVEN D'ACHILLE, FEEDING THE SPIRIT founder DEBBIE THACKRAH, GERMAN TWP. Police Corporal JOHN LINGO, and FRIENDS TO FRIENDS head GEORGE O'DONNELL.
