CORUS News-Talk CFMJ-A (GLOBAL NEWS RADIO 640)/TORONTO is making some changes to its lineup TODAY (3/4).
In the shuffle, two new shows hosted by GLOBAL TV personalities are joining the midday roster, with ALAN CARTER hosting noon-1p (ET) weekdays, followed by JEFF MCARTHUR 1-3p. KELLY CUTRARA moves from 2-4p to 9a-noon, and JOHN OAKLEY's afternoon show moves from 4-7p to 3-6p, making room for a simulcast of GLOBAL NEWS AT 6 (anchored by CARTER) 6-6:30p, with ALEX PIERSON adding a half-hour to start at 6:30p. Coming out of the lineup are former 9a-noon host MATT GURNEY, who was let go in FEBRUARY, and noon-2p host TASHA KHEIRIDDIN, who exited after FRIDAY's show and will continue to work as a writer and contributor to GLOBAL NEWS and CORUS stations on radio and TV.
“We’re very pleased to add two talented, experienced broadcasters to GLOBAL NEWS RADIO 640 TORONTO,” said GLOBAL NEWS SVP WARD SMITH. “It’s a great opportunity for both JEFF and ALAN to showcase their versatility, wit, and wide-range of insights. Great questions, informed guests and razor sharp context is what our growing audience demands from our entire team throughout the day. The addition of JEFF and ALAN truly rounds out a great lineup.”
