NRG MEDIA Talk KKAR-A/OMAHA pulled in $76,506. in a one-day radiothon to benefit the CHILD SAVING INSTITUTE, an OMAHA organization that has helped children in need in the OMAHA area for 104 years. FRIDAY's event ran from 6a to 6p CT, hosted by "OMAHA MORNING NEWS" anchors BRIAN BARKS and TERRY LEAHY with several hosts from sister NRG stations, including Hot AC KQKQ (Q98)'s PAT AND J.T. and AC KLTQ (LITE 101.9)'s SHARI STONE, JACK SWANDA, and KAY KRISS, joining in. Mayor MIKE FAHEY, Sen. CHUCK HAGEL (R-NE), UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA AT OMAHA hockey coach MIKE KEMP, and other local leaders also took part in the event.
