Price, Other Details Revealed For Cox-Apollo Sale Including Dayton Radio Stations

The previously-announced sale by COX MEDIA GROUP of a majority stake in its TV stations to  funds managed by APOLLO GLOBAL MANAGEMENT that also included the company's DAYTON radio cluster -- News-Talk WHIO-A/DAYTON-WHIO-F.PLEASANT HILL, OH, Classic Hits WZLR/XENIA, OH, and Country WHKO (K99.1)/DAYTON has been filed with the FCC; the buyer is officially listed as CAMELOT RADIO BUYER, INC., an affiliate of newly-created TERRIER MEDIA, and the price for the overall transaction is $3.1 billion, to be adjusted to reflect the equity COX will receive in the buyer at closing.

The transaction will see TERRIER MEDIA BUYER, INC. acquire APOLLO-owned NORTHWEST BROADCASTING's TV stations, then the COX TV stations and the DAYTON radio stations, giving TERRIER MEDIA 25 full-power TV stations and four radio stations.

In other filings with the FCC, KSBJ EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, INC. is selling K258BZ/SUGAR LAND, TX to CENTRO CRISTIANO DE VIDA ETERNA for $400,000.  The primary station is listed as iHEARTMEDIA Alternative KTBZ/HOUSTON.

ALPHA MEDIA LICENSEE LLC has filed for an STA to operate KRES/MOBERLY, MO at reduced power due to technical issues.

GABRIELLE BROADCASTING LICENSEE ORDINAL I FCC, LLC has filed for a Silent STA for KXEG-A/PHOENIX (lost tower site due to real estate sale) and K241CS/PHOENIX (lost programming when KXEG went off the air).

HISPANIC FAMILY CHRISTIAN NETWORK, INC. is applying for an extension of its Silent STA for K233CU/STOCKTON, CA due to financial difficulties.

FIRST VENTURES CAPITAL PARTNERS, INC. has closed on the sale of K289BI/DAVENPORT, IA to AUGUSTANA COLLEGE for $60,000.  The primary station is News-Talk-Classical WVIK/ROCK ISLAND, IL.

And RESULTS BROADCASTING OF RHINELANDER, INC. has closed on the sale of Country WCYE (COYOTE 93.7)/THREE LAKES, WI and Sports WHOH (SPORTS RADIO 96.5)/RHINELANDER, WI to HEARTLAND COMMUNICATIONS LICENSE, LLC for $440,000.
