STEW JAMES joins CUMULUS MEDIA Country WSM-FM/NASHVILLE and WESTWOOD ONE’s national NASH ICON NETWORK as afternoon air personality. JAMES was most recently the Technical Producer of what is now “THE TY BENTLI SHOW” (formerly “TY, KELLY AND CHUCK”) on CUMULUS Country WKDF/NASHVILLE, where he also frequently did weekends. He previously worked for years with current WSM-FM morning host MARTY MCFLY on multiple stations, as well as the syndicated show “THE LIVE RIDE,” and they also did mornings together at WKDF.
CUMULUS/NASHVILLE Market Manager ALLISON WARREN said JAMES’ “ability to entertain and engage is second to none,” while PD and VP/Programming Operations CHARLIE COOK said, “STEW has been a NASHVILLE personality for years and we’re fortunate to have him join afternoons at 95.5 NASH ICON/WSM-FM. He brings not only in-depth knowledge of the market, but also a passion for the essential Country music favorites that our loyal Country fans crave.”
WESTWOOD ONE VP/Programming GEORGE KING called JAMES, “a great talent, a true professional, and just an awesome person,” adding, “We’re looking forward to having him on the air across the country.” JAMES said: “I’m extremely excited to return to the air and connect with Country fans.”
